iPad’s Battery Life
I am concerned about my iPad. I just bought it a little less than a month ago and now I have noticed that the battery no longer lasts for ten hours.
Initially, I am sure that it does but lately, the battery drains faster. I thought I was just being paranoid but I monitored it and it does not last for ten hours anymore. It frustrates me. Can the battery wear out that easily?
I read that exposure to extreme temperatures can really affect the performance of the battery. This includes being left inside the car for a long time or maybe if it was exposed on a hot summer day or a wintery one. I am sure I never subject my iPad in such conditions since my iPad has barely gone out of my house.
Help please…

charging the iPad
The only time my iPad was not able to last for ten hours was when I used my iPod charger for my iPad. I am not sure why but charging it with the iPod charger does not make it perform like how it is supposed to. So, I went back to using the actual iPad charger and it too me a couple of charging cycle before I could get it back to its usual performance. Now it already lasts for about two to three days (well…that sums up to a little less than ten hours or maybe I am just too excited to plug it back again when I see that it is about to get drained).
You been using a different charger for your iPad or maybe something that is just compatible to it and not really the original one?

making the battery last longer
I am not sure why your battery does not last long enough since you have been using this for only less than a month. Although, you probably might want to observe also your way of using your iPad.
I have encountered a few tips on how to make the battery of your iPad last longer, maybe this could somehow help you.
I think these are tips for those who habitually forget to charge their charger or bring their charger along. In my case this is useful because I often fail to bring my charger with me. I have tried these techniques too and I can safely say that it does work.
Here are the tips:
Turn off everything that you are not currently using
Since there are functions which are triggered to start by default, it would be better to asses which ones you really need and one that you need to access often. Letting the functions run the entire time that you iPad is on (even if you are not using it) will cause your battery to drain more quickly. Some of the functions which you can turn off are: Bluetooth, Q and vibrate. Sometimes it is also useful to put it on flight mode. Just go to settings and set the wifi to off. There are others too which you can turn off, depending on your preference.
Avoid Live Streaming and Downloads
Avoid these two while you are not plugged. This really uses up so much energy. I got addicted to NetFlix before and I know how much this could use up the battery charge. Maybe you could wait until you get home before you do your downloading and live streaming.
Adjust the Lights or Brightness of Screen
If you could turn the light off first during the day it would save you up a lot of energy. To be able to turn it off or at least tone it down, got to settings, then brightnessand wallpaper, then adjust the slider depending on your vision.
Lessen the usage of complex games
Complex games are those which have fully detailed graphics and blasting audio and music. The more fantastic the game is, the more battery it uses up.
Schedule your email and social networking site checking and updating
Funny because some people really check their social network sites every five minutes. Is it really necessary? Well, I guess not for me.
I know it could kill the fun a bit but I guess toning down the usage on the iPad so you could save battery is better than not being able to use it at all because charge was drained.
