additional info    Just to add up to the topic, there are also other things that need to be emphasized.

As an added bonus in doing back up through iTunes…
-the apps which you have in your iPad are also being backed up when you do the sync
-you will be informed by iTunes regarding the next updates and when this will come out.

Just make sure that when you are doing the sync and doing the updating…

-ensure that the iTunes that you are using is the latest version available, if not, update it.
-use USB in connecting
-select iPad among the listed devices and click summary.
-click again select updates.

Most important of all, do not click restore! Although there will be a warning window that will appear, just make sure that you will not click this. It will put your iPad back to its original factory settings. Oh no!
