Why do my iPad apps crash?

Why do my iPad apps crash? I just updated my iPad 1 to version 4.3.3 and whenever I open my apps, the app is there for about one second and then it crashes and takes me back to the home screen. Please help because I'm very irritated. The apps that come with it work, such as Mail, Photos, Safari.
