How to deal when iPad performs slowly
I have been experiencing some trouble with regards to the performance of my iPad. I noticed that it has the tendency to run slow, like I have to wait for some time before I could open an app or make it function according to how I want. I know that it is sometimes becomes slower than the usual pace because I am pretty much aware of how fast it usually is. Is this normal? I mean, do you guys also experience it sometimes or something is really wrong with my iPad? This does not happen often but I just want to know what I should do whenever I experience this. I just want to know the safest way on how to deal with it. I am afraid that if I do something wrong it would lead to worse things.

Physical Reset
Well, what happens to your iPad sometimes is something that can be considered as normal especially when you are trying to run complex apps or maybe when you are trying to so a difficult task. As long as it does not happen too often, your iPad is basically just performing normally. We all know that iPad is an ingenious gadget but fact remains that it is just like any other techie invention which has limitations.
One thing that you can do when this happens is to reset your iPad physically. This is not something that would do damage to your iPad. If there’s one thing that it would do, that is to make your iPad perfrom better—run smoothly, maintain its normal pace.

Reset Tips
Since we are on the topic of doing a reset for the iPad, I would like to share something which helped me with the same trouble. You do not have to worry because I guess other iPad’s also experience the same thing that happens to your iPad.
I do physical reset also when my iPad slows down. I guess it would be like refreshing the system of the iPad so that it could perfrom well. Anyway, here are the steps and tips on how to do it.
RESET
Utilize the reset function of the iPad. When you do this, it puts back you iPad to the settings it has when you purchased it. More like putting it back to its factory settings. Make sure though that you have a back up of all the things you have in your iPad when you do this. Take note also that even if you do the reset, it will not make it go completely blank. Of course the prolonged use of the iPad collects some info and setting that resetting can not completely eliminate. It is easy to do just access it through Settings and then go to General then choose Reset.
POWER BUTTON and SHUTTING DOWN
To perform a physical reset, just position your iPad in portrait and then you can locate the button which you have to press at the top side, left hand side of your iPad. Press this button for about three to five seconds. It will initiate the power down of your iPad. Do not be too conscious about the time that you are holding the power button because if you are already able to hold it long enough, you will be prompted by a white rectangular box which will appear on your screen. You will see an arrow which points to the right. If this was already shown, touch and move it to the power off. Once done, your iPad will shut down. This is safe so do not worry.
RESTARTING
Do not get too excited to turn your iPad back on. Wait for around twenty seconds. It would be better if you would let it stand first for about a couple of minutes but twenty minutes is just safe. This is just necessary to make the iPad’s system shut down completely before turning it on again. To restart just press the power button like usual and everything should go smoothly.
When you are doing a power down and reset, your apps should remain. It just somehow deals with the ‘trash’ which as accumulated in your iPad. I only warned you to do back up to be on the safe side. It is actually recommended for you to do reset every once in a while.
